Data Based Decision Making

Goal 1: Increase the use and effectiveness of data-based decision making.
 
Objective 1.1: Provide evidence-based professional development to districts and schools to support data-based decision making.
 
Objective 1.2: Implement a multi-tiered system of support to assist schools and districts in effective data-based decision making.
 
Objective 1.3: Assess the outcomes of the multi-tiered system of support to assist schools and districts in effective data-based decision making.
 

Family Engagement

Goal 2: Increase the effectiveness of meaningful school-family partnerships. Goal 2 will be achieved in collaboration with both national and state level consultants working directly with SPDG staff. The CPRC and the ARC of Louisiana will be valued partners working collaboratively to achieve this goal.
 
Objective 2.1: Provide training and resources to support families (including families of students with disabilities) in their child’s education with the school.  
 
Objective 2.2:  Provide professional development and support to schools and districts in the engagement of families in their child’s education with the school and district. 
 
There are 4 domains within Family Engagement: (1) Communication (2) Family Support  (3)  Decision Making (4) Partnerships
 

Inclusive Practices

Goal 3: Increase the use and effectiveness of inclusive practices. This goal will be achieved through support of national and state level consultants, LDOE staff, and People First of Louisiana. The goal will focus on providing blended (face-to-face, webinar) PD, the retention of special education teachers, and the development of resources for statewide use.
 
Objective 3.1: Provide evidence-based professional development to districts and schools to promote effective inclusive practices.
 
There are 6 domains within Inclusive Practices: (1) Foundations (2) Collaboration (3)  Service Delivery (4)  Instructional Practices (5) Behavior Support (6)  Administrative Responsibilities
 

Culturally Responsive Practices

Goal 4: Increase the use and effectiveness of culturally responsive practices. This goal will be achieved through the support of both national and state level consultants to provide support to SPDG staff and blended (face-to-face, webinar) PD to participating districts.
 
Objective 4.1: Provide evidence-based professional development to districts and schools to promote culturally responsive practices around identification of student for services.
 
Objective 4.2: Provide evidence-based professional development to districts and schools to promote culturally responsive practices on behavior.
 
There are 4 domains within Cuturally Responsive Practices: (1) Organizational Support, (2) School Climate  (3)  Curriculum and Instruction (4) Behavior Support
